Kim Sang-ah upsets Kim Ga-young for second time in two weeks…reaches Women’s Professional Billiards Tour quarterfinals

Kim Sang-ah has reached the quarterfinals of the Women’s Professional Billiards LPBA Tour after upsetting “Billiard Queen” Kim Ga-young (Hana Card) for the second time in two weeks.

Kim Sang-ah defeated Kim 2-1 in straight sets in the round of 16 of the Hana Card LPBA Championship, the sixth tour of the professional billiards PBA-LPBA 2023-2024 season, at the Kintex PBA Stadium in Goyang City, Gyeonggi-do, on Saturday afternoon.

Kim Sang-ah, who lost to Kim in the finals of the previous tour, the Huon’s Championship, with a set score of 1-4, was eager to meet Kim again after two weeks.

Elsewhere, Kim Ye-eun (Welcome Savings Bank) defeated Lee Dam 2-0 in straight sets to reach her first quarterfinal of the season, while Kim Jin-ah (Hanacard) punched her ticket to her second quarterfinal of the season with a 2-1 win over Han Seul-ki (Eswai).

Choi Hye-mi (Welcome Savings Bank), Yong Hyun-ji (Hi One Resort), Kim Min-young (Blue One Resort), Kim Gap-sun, and Jung Eun-young also made it through the round of 16. 보스토토

On the other hand, a number of powerhouses with LPBA victories, including Hida Oriie (Japan-SK Rent-a-car), Baek Min-ju, Lim Jung-sook (Crown Hae-tae), and Kang Ji-eun (SK Rent-a-car), fell in the round of 16.

The LPBA quarterfinals will begin on July 7 at 2 p.m. with Kim Jin-ah-Jung-young, followed by Kim Gap-sun-Gim Min-young (4:30 p.m.), Kim Ye-eun-Gim Sang-ah (7 p.m.), and Yong Hyun-ji-Choi Hye-mi (9:30 p.m.).
