Anthony Davis and the Lakers have agreed to an extension.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported on Friday that Davis and the Lakers have agreed to an extension. Davis signed a three-year extension worth up to $186 million.
Davis’ deal is structured to increase his salary over time. In 2027-28, Davis is expected to make about $66.8 million. However, that’s what he’s expected to make if the salary cap increases by 10% for two consecutive seasons through the 2025-26 season.
It’s a deal that’s hard to argue with based on Davis’ skill set. Last season, Davis was an integral part of the Lakers’ core, averaging 25.9 points, 12.5 rebounds, and 2.0 blocked shots per game. He was born in 1993 and is just entering his 30s, so there’s a good chance he’ll keep this up for a while.안전놀이터
The only variable is injuries. Davis played 62 games in his first season with the Lakers, but only 36, 40, and 56 games in each of his next three seasons. If his poor attendance continues, it could be a disappointing signing. In the end, the key for Davis will be to maintain his current form and increase his attendance.
